Transportation

Airport Shuttle

The ASFA 2010 Annual Meeting will take place in the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel that is located on the culture rich historic Canal Street, in the heart of New Orleans, Louisiana. The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is located approximately 30 minutes from the hotel and is the primary airport for travelers to New Orleans.

Airport shuttle service is available through New Orleans Airport Shuttle (reservations are highly encouraged but not required). The shuttle runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Proceed to baggage claim when you arrive at the airport and visit one of the Airport Shuttle staffed desks from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm; after 11:00 pm you can purchase one-way tickets from your driver (cash only).

From Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport

Start out going SOUTHWEST toward S ACCESS RD.
Turn LEFT onto W AIRLINE HWY/US-61.
Turn LEFT onto AIRPORT ACCESS RD.
Merge onto I-10 E. 11.2 mi
Take EXIT 234B on the LEFT toward POYDRAS ST/SUPERDOME.
Stay STRAIGHT to go onto POYDRAS ST.
Turn LEFT onto CAMP ST.
Turn RIGHT onto CANAL ST.
500 CANAL STREET is on the RIGHT.

Taxi

Taxi stands are conveniently located on the lower level of the airport, outside the baggage claim area. Dispatchers at each stand will help you select a taxi based on your destination. The average taxi cab fare is $28.00 plus tip from the airport to the Central Business District (CBD) for one or two persons and $12.00 (per passenger) for three or more passengers.
